The Bagel Station opened in 1990 to serve the needs of a community
seeking an authentic scratch
made New York style bagel. The independent
store was the result of several years of planning and study. Dr.
Dan the Bagel Man and wife Kathy, the store’s creators and owners
wanted a high quality experience in both taste and service for
the discriminating bagel lover.
The Brooklyn style water bagels
are made fresh from scratch with premium quality ingredients in
the original store--unlike our competitors, who have their bagels
shipped in frozen from factories elsewhere.
Bagels are the reason that the Bagel Station has consistently been
rated Winston-Salem’s best bagel store for almost 20 years. It’s
our logo and it’s what we do.
